Phlan Insurgent Background 5e dnd

Phlan has fallen victim to the atrocities and wrath of the dragon Vorgansharax, and you are no exception to it. You and many other residents of Phlan were attacked. Some of them died underneath the deadly claws of the dragon, while some were captured and presented as a tribute to the Maimed Virulence.

The Vorgansharax, along with the minions, took everyone out, both old and young. Unfortunately, you consider yourself one of the unlucky ones as you meet fate far worse than being dead by the claws of the dragon. You were captured and thrown away in the dark, but somehow you managed to survive and eventually escape from captivity.

This experience has made you stronger, and even after you managed to escape, you chose not to run away but fight them. Finally, you have found a safe refuge far into the woods to find the perfect time to take out these monsters one by one.

What is a Phlan Insurgent in DND?

Phlan was peaceful before the minions of Tears of Virulence and the fierce dragon Vorgansharax unleashed their wrath on the village. They destroyed everything that came in their path, killed everyone be it young or old, captured those who survived to put them away into captivity or offer them to the Maimed Virulence.

However, those who managed to stay alive and survive the wrath of the dragon were eventually captured and thrown away into captivity, including yourself. On the other hand, you managed to survive the dire conditions and eventually escaped. Now your only mission is to take out these monsters and their allies from a safe house away from the town.

Living in the horrible nightmarish prison in the direst conditions has made you so strong and your objectives more clear than ever. Now you only want to avenge the family and friends that you lost in the attacks by taking them out at night, one by one, until they are all gone.

Origin

Before the attack took place and turned your life upside down, you used to live a normal life just like anyone else. However, your profession still has some influence over you and somehow dictates your action and how you deal with problems.

You can choose to have one of the following occupations, and it can either be a general one or pick up one from the specific if you want. However, you can not pick up both of them.
